Harvest of Hope Food Drive
Each October the Conway County Care Center stocks its pantries through the Harvest of Hope Food Drive. This year we will “Fill the Truck” on Saturday, October 21. The Care’s Center was formed in 1988 with the goal that “no one in Conway County goes hungry.” Over time that mission has grown to include clothing and emergency assistance. It fulfills this mission with support from the Care Center thrift store, grants, and donations from individuals, churches, and businesses. Last year the Care Center served over 3,100 households, totaling over 7,800 people, and those numbers are increasing this year.
Harvest of Hope is the only solicited food drive of the year. Challenges have been sent out to churches, schools and businesses, so please check your mail for your assignment. You can also help by volunteering on Saturday, October 21st from 9:00-5:00 or bringing non-perishable food items to Haynes Homes Center at 4 Davis Drive in Morrilton (near the Kroger).
You can find more information about Harvest of Hope and the Care Center by visiting the website, http://www.conwaycountycarecenter.com/, visiting the Conway Country Care Center Facebook page, or calling store manager, Cindy Lucariello at (501)354-1454. Thank you for helping us to feed Conway County by donating non-perishable food items on Saturday, October 21!
